Cellulitis can occur on any part of the body. In adults, cellulitis may often occur in the face, arms and legs. In children, cellulitis often occurs in the face or within the anus area. The infection caused by cellulitis may pose a harmful effect to the eyes and other skin areas so it is better to prevent it rather than waiting for it to occur.

The best thing you can do to determine the appropriate treatment for cellulitis is to see a doctor. Normally, if the infection is mild and tender, you may still be able to fight it with antibiotics. However, if the infection is getting more severe, you may need hospital care and take specially made antibiotics. Nevertheless, you should be careful when taking antibiotics. You should only take antibiotics that have been prescribed by your doctor or dermatologist. Failing to follow instructions from your doctor could also pose a serious threat to your health. You should also check if your condition permits you to take these medications since some drugs may have adverse effects if taken with other prescriptions.
