Red nose is very common for Americans however a person would not know that the red part of the nose is already the start of a nose infection that will lead sooner to nose cellulitis. Cellulitis is a skin infection caused by a bacterium called staphylococcus in which may lead into skin disease. This kind of infection comes unnoticeable since most of its victims think that they are just suffering from a simple nose irritation. It starts as a simple nose swelling and later on the swelling becomes reddish in color and then the nose becomes bigger and bigger. Treating this kind of cellulitis with antibiotic is not just enough since cellulitis can only be eradicated with the right medicine and proper treatment by a physician. A person with cellulitis may suffer symptoms related to a patient with skin burn at the same time the infected part becomes irritated as time goes by.
Preventing the Nose from Acquiring Cellulitis Infection
Preventing further skin complications can be done by seeking the aid of a physician as soon as the first symptom shows up. Cellulitis in the nose however can only be prevented with the right medicine. On the other hand, most physicians would rather say that prevention is better than cure. The most common parts of the body that are affected by this kind of infection are the arms, lower, legs, and other sensitive parts of the face such as the nose, ears and even the eyes. Nose piercing is one of the common causes of cellulitis in nose parts. The wounds caused by these practices can develop into serious infections if not treated with proper healing prpcedures.
Poor hygiene on the other hand plays a large role in this kind of skin infection since bacteria grows on unclean skin surfaces that is why it would be more appropriate to take a bath at least twice a day to maintain the cleanliness of the body in order to be bacteria free. Never scratch or touch the nose in order to avoid making things worst instead, wash the nose with soap and water in order to clean the infected part before applying first immediate treatment.
